Crinan - Tobermory Classic Race
Saturday 10th July 2010
An old race but a new race. Not just reliving the past but bringing back a classic old
race from our recent past for our future. We hope that boat owners will be encouraged to
take part and perhaps use the race as a means of encouraging you to start your cruise further
north and west on the west coast.
The race is open to sail and motor boats.
The idea is to keep organisation, formalities and management to a minimum throughout this
short event.
On the evening of Friday 9th July there will be registration and skippers briefing in Crinan
Hotel Mainbrace Bar, to be confirmed and entertainment with a local band.
The race will start no later than mid morning, one or two starts depending on number and
variation of boats. Depending on weather the race may have a shortened course and participants
can decide what they will do from there, carry on to Tobermory or independently go elsewhere.
We will have a get together organised in Tobermory for the evening of Saturday 10th or
depending on time of arrival we may try to organise a brunch in one of the local
establishments.
We hope this meets with interest and you can appreciate why we wish to keep the
organisation, formalities and management to a mimimum.
Please check the downloads page for entry form.
